CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Colby Trojans women's wrestling program continues to make history in its inaugural season, debuting at No. 7 in the NJCAA's first team rankings of the year Thursday (Jan. 8). The top-10 ranking reflects a solid start for a first-year program competing at the national level.
Colby's No. 7 ranking places the Trojans among established NJCAA women's wrestling programs and is supported by five nationally ranked individuals, showing balance throughout the lineup in the program's first season of competition.
At 110 pounds, Audrie Felkins is tied for fifth in the national ranking with six quality points. While her overall record sits at 5–12 with a 2–5 mark in duals, Felkins has consistently stepped up against elite NCAA competition throughout the season.
Isabella Garrity has emerged as a key contributor at 117 pounds, where she also holds a tied-for-fifth national ranking with six quality points. Garrity carries a 6–7 overall record and is 3–3 in dual competition.
At 131 pounds, Emma Parker has put together a strong campaign, earning a tied-for-fifth national ranking with six quality points. Parker owns a 7–12 overall record and is 2–2 in duals, highlighted by a standout performance at the Falcon Open, where she notched four victories. Her tournament success has played a pivotal role in boosting Colby's national profile.
One of Colby's most consistent performers has been Destiny Gonzalez at 145 pounds. Gonzalez is ranked tied for fifth nationally with six quality points and holds a 9–8 overall record, including a 4–2 mark in duals. Her consistency has made her a reliable scorer in both individual and team settings.
Leading the way for the Trojans is Catherine Dutton at 207 pounds, who earned a No. 4 national ranking and eight quality points. Dutton boasts a 9–4 overall record, placing in three of four tournaments this season. She delivered a signature performance at the Colby Dust Bowl Open, capturing first place after going 3–0 on the day. Her success in the upper weights has been a cornerstone of Colby's team ranking.
For a program in its first year, the Trojans have already proven they belong. The Trojans have one more week off before they compete at the York College Open this Saturday (Jan. 17).
