The Blue Dragons enters the series 16–6 (5–1 KJCCC) matching Colby's conference record and setting up an important early-season battle near the top of the standings. While the Blue Dragons have been strong overall this season, they have struggled more away from home, giving the Trojans an opportunity to capitalize with the doubleheader being played in Colby. With both teams currently tied for second place in the conference standings, the upcoming matchup could play a significant role in shaping the early KJCCC race.
