Colby CC Rodeo Kicks Off With Home Rodeo
The Colby Community College Rodeo is set to bring three days of action-packed competition to the E.L. Garrett Arena in Colby, Kansas, beginning Thursday (Sept. 11) and spanning two days and three nights. The event will be streamed live, making it possible for rodeo supporters everywhere to tune in and follow the action.

The event will be streamed live, making it possible for rodeo supporters everywhere to tune in and follow the action.
The rodeo begins Thursday evening at 7 p.m., opening with a full slate of events. On Friday, the slack action starts at 9 a.m. and continues into the afternoon before pausing ahead of the main events at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear red Friday night in honor of Emma Brungardt, a beloved rodeo student-athlete whose life was tragically lost last year.
Saturday's competition resumes in the morning and runs until around 2–3 p.m., with the stakes rising Saturday night at 7 p.m., when the top 12 competitors in each event return for the short go.
Adding to the community spirit, the Colby Community College women's basketball team will be running concessions throughout the weekend, keeping fans fueled up while supporting their program. This year's rodeo will also feature 11 Colby Community College athletes competing in front of the hometown crowd, giving local fans plenty to cheer for.
