Men's Basketball Set to Host Coffeyville in Conference Showdown

After an early-week bye, the Trojans will play just one game this week as they look to secure a statement victory against a Red Ravens program that was previously ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation earlier this season.
Sophomore guard D.J. Cason continues to lead the Trojans' offensive attack, averaging 15.3 points per game. Cason has been one of the most efficient scorers in the conference this season, leading the league in both three-point percentage and free throw percentage. Aliou Diallo has emerged as a key contributor in recent games, highlighted by an 18-point performance in Colby's last outing at Cloud County. Diallo is averaging 11.1 points per game while also serving as one of the team's primary facilitators. He shares the team lead in assists with Cason, averaging 2.4 assists per contest compared to Cason's 2.3. Giannis Asimakopoulos provides additional scoring balance for the Trojans, contributing 10.2 points per game while making an impact on the defensive end. On the glass, Nana Keutcha continues to anchor Colby's interior presence, leading the team with 7.5 rebounds per game.
Coffeyville enters the matchup with a 17–8 overall record, with all eight losses coming in conference play. The Red Ravens currently ride a three-game winning streak that includes victories over Cowley, Dodge City, and Cloud County. The Red Ravens feature a balanced offense led by a trio of scorers averaging around double figures. Daniel Ntambwe leads the team with 12.7 points per game and also paces Coffeyville on the boards with 7.2 rebounds per contest. Ulysses Webb presents a major perimeter threat, attempting roughly five three-pointers per game while converting at nearly a 50 percent clip. Webb ranks among the conference leaders in three-point percentage and averages 10.1 points per game. Tyson Tucker directs the offense and leads the team in assists at 3.8 per game.
Saturday's contest holds important conference implications. Coffeyville currently sits tied for seventh in the standings, while the Trojans are looking to climb out of the bottom portion of the league and strengthen their postseason position.
