Amanda Caputi Earns AVCA Third Team All-America Honors
Colby Trojans sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has earned yet another prestigious honor, being named to the 2025 AVCA Two-Year College All-American Third Team.
Colby Trojans sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has earned yet another prestigious honor, being named to the 2025 AVCA Two-Year College All-American Third Team. The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its three 15-member All-America teams on Thursday (Dec. 11), recognizing 45 of the nation's top players across NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, the CCCAA, and the NWAC. Caputi's selection places her among the elite performers in all sectors of two-year college volleyball.
This recognition adds to what has already been a decorated career for Caputi, who earlier this week was named an NJCAA Division I Second Team All-American, her second NJCAA All-America honor in as many seasons. She remains the only player in Colby volleyball history to earn multiple NJCAA All-America selections, and now adds an AVCA national accolade to her résumé.
Caputi's All-America nod from the AVCA comes on the heels of a statistically dominant sophomore campaign. She finished the season leading the entire NJCAA in assists per set (11.13) while distributing 1,191 total assists, powering a Colby offense that ranked No. 1 nationally in kills per set (13.53). Her efficiency and consistency made her one of the most impactful setters in the country, regardless of division.
Beyond her elite playmaking, she recorded a .364 hitting percentage, 71 kills, 71 blocks, and 34 service aces, while adding 0.66 blocks per set and 0.66 kills per set. She earned six KJCCC Setter of the Week awards and was voted the KJCCC Division I Player of the Year this past season.
With both NJCAA and AVCA All-America honors now to her name, Caputi has established herself as one of the most decorated players in program history, cementing her place as one of the premier setters in two-year college volleyball history.
