Colby Community College sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has been named the KJCCC Division I Setter of the Week after leading the Trojans to a perfect start in conference play.
COLBY, Kan. - Colby Community College sophomore setter Amanda Caputi has been named the KJCCC Division I Setter of the Week after leading the Trojans to a perfect start in conference play.
Caputi was the driving force behind Colby's offense in back-to-back sweeps over Garden City and Cloud County. She recorded 76 total assists on the week, averaging an impressive 12.67 per set to keep the Trojans' attack balanced and efficient. In both matches, Caputi tallied 38 assists, showcasing her consistency and ability to spread the ball to multiple hitters.
The sophomore's impact didn't stop with her setting. She also contributed 12 digs, played strong defensively, and added four kills while hitting .400, further displaying her all-around skill set.
Her efforts helped Colby open conference play at 2-0, with the offense firing on all cylinders behind her leadership.
With this honor, Caputi earns her second KJCCC weekly award of the season and solidifies her place as one of the conference's top setters.
