CHARLOTTE, NC. - The Colby Community College volleyball team is off to a commanding start in the 2025 campaign, carrying some momentum into September. Ranked No. 6 in last week's NJCAA Division I poll, the Trojans now hold the No. 7 national ranking in this week's release with an 8-2 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in conference play, backed by 98 points in the poll.
Colby has been dominant in its victories, with all eight wins coming in straight-set sweeps. The Trojans' strong start highlights the balance of experienced returners and impact newcomers that make them one of the toughest teams in the country.
In conference positioning, Colby stands as the second-highest ranked team in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC), trailing only Barton, who sits at No. 3 nationally. The Trojans continue their conference push, traveling to Hutchinson Wednesday (Sept. 10).
