Boakye Named KJCCC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Fresh off a dominant showing at the West Texas Relays, Beatrice Boakye has been named KJCCC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after delivering two national qualifying performances against a loaded field of NCAA Division II and NJCAA competition.
COLBY, Kan. - Fresh off a dominant showing at the West Texas Relays, Beatrice Boakye has been named KJCCC Women's Track Athlete of the Week after delivering two national qualifying performances against a loaded field of NCAA Division II and NJCAA competition.
Boakye raced to a first-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking a blazing 24.25, the third fastest time in the NJCAA this season. She followed that up with an impressive 55.65 in the 400 meters, finishing fifth in a highly competitive field while posting the sixth-fastest time in the NJCAA this year.
Her standout performances not only showcased her ability to compete at the highest level but also solidified her as one of the premier sprinters in the conference and across the NJCAA.
