Trojans Earn Multiple All-American Honors at NJCAA Championships

The Colby Community College Track & Field teams put on a stellar performance at the NJCAA National Championships in Hutchinson, bringing home All-American honors in six events across both men's and women's competition.
On the men's side, sophomore Sibonelo Khumalo earned two All-American honors with impressive distance runs. He placed third in the 10,000m with a time of 29:40.21, just a second off his personal best and the fifth-fastest time in the NJCAA. He followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000m, clocking in at 14:24.98, the 12th-best mark all-time in NJCAA competition. For his efforts, Khumalo was named the Region 6 Men's Track Athlete of the Meet. Next All-American was Kenan Delestre, who delivered a standout performance in just his fourth-ever collegiate attempt at the 3,000m steeplechase, finishing second with a time of 8:58.77, the fourth-fastest time in the conference.
On the women's side, Rosemary Arthur continued her dominance, placing third in the 800m with a personal-best 2:07.61, the fourth-fastest time in NJCAA history. She also claimed All-American status in the 1,500m, placing fourth in another strong showing. Anita Afrifa rounded out the All-American honors for the Trojans with a blazing 22.95 in the 200m, placing second overall and marking the second-fastest time in the NJCAA this outdoor season.
In total, four Trojans earned All-American honors across six events, wrapping up their showing at the NJCAA National Championships. The women's team scored 19 points, securing a strong 12th-place finish, while the men matched that total with 19 points of their own, finishing 14th overall in the team standings.
