Bio
Lauren Carmack joined the Colby Community College women’s basketball coaching staff in 2025 after serving as an assistant coach at Sterling College. During her time at Sterling, Carmack helped lead the program to a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) championship in the 2024-25 season. She also served as head coach for the program’s varsity reserve team, where she gained valuable experience managing in-game situations, developing players, and preparing her team to compete.
A native of Elizabeth, Colorado and graduate of Legend High School, Carmack was a standout student-athlete at Sterling College. She played four years for the Warriors, making a national tournament appearance each season. In addition to her on-court success, she was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and earned her bachelor’s degree from Sterling.
Carmack brings a well-rounded coaching skillset to Colby, with experience in recruiting, scouting, game planning, and academic mentorship. Her Colorado roots provide a valuable recruiting pipeline for the Trojans, and her passion for positively impacting young women through basketball aligns perfectly with the program’s mission.
