Seward County's offense was led by Avery Marchino, who posted a game-high 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting. The Saints had four players in double figures and shot 48.9 percent from the floor while hitting eight threes of their own.
The Trojans stayed within striking distance throughout, but Seward's late scoring runs and near-perfect night at the charity stripe proved to be the difference. Colby will look to bounce back as conference play continues Tuesday (Nov. 25) when they face off against Barton in Great Bend, KS.
