Assistant Softball Coach

Bio

Bailey Honne joined the Colby Community College softball staff in January 2025 and is excited to begin her first full season as the Trojans’ assistant coach. Specializing in pitching, she brings a strong background in player development and leadership at both the high school and collegiate levels. Prior to Colby, she served as head coach at Fort Hays Tech Northwest for two seasons, where she gained valuable experience managing a college program and developing student-athletes.

A native of Surprise, Arizona, Bailey was a collegiate pitcher herself, playing at Scottsdale Community College (2015–2017) and Ottawa University Arizona (2017–2019), where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science as well as multiple other academic honors. She is currently two semesters away from completing her MBA at Fort Hays State University.

Off the field, Bailey is grateful for the love and support of her parents, Horacio and Kathleen Honne, and her brother Joshua—who gave her the greatest blessing of becoming an aunt six years ago. Bailey and her dog, Star, have quickly fallen in love with Colby and the welcoming community. She looks forward to helping grow the softball program and investing in the success of her student-athletes both on and off the field.
