Christensen Named NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Week
Colby Trojans sophomore Briley Christensen has earned national recognition after being named the NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Week, following the KJCCC Player of the Week honors she received yesterday.
CHARLOTTE, NC - Colby Trojans sophomore Briley Christensen has earned national recognition after being named the NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Week, following the KJCCC Player of the Week honors she received yesterday (March 10).
Christensen delivered a huge week at the plate, helping power the Colby offense across six games. The sophomore went 9-for-12, driving in 11 runs while scoring nine times and tallying five extra-base hits. She finished the stretch with a 1.667 slugging percentage and a .762 on-base percentage, consistently providing production in the middle of the Trojan lineup.
In total, Christensen reached base 16 times in 22 plate appearances during the week and did not record a strikeout, showcasing remarkable consistency and plate discipline during one of the most productive offensive weeks of the season.
The honor recognizes Christensen as the top performer in NJCAA Division I softball for the week, highlighting her standout contributions to the Trojans' success. This is their first NJCAA Player fot he Week honor of the season.
