Rodeo Heads to Fort Scott for Second Spring Rodeo
The Colby Trojans Rodeo team will travel to compete in the Fort Scott Rodeo this weekend, marking the second rodeo of the spring season. The event, hosted by Fort Scott Community College, runs Friday through Sunday in Fort Scott, KS and will conclude with the short go on Sunday afternoon.

The event, hosted by Fort Scott Community College, runs Friday through Sunday (March 13–15) in Fort Scott, KS and will conclude with the short go on Sunday afternoon.
Competition begins with slack at 9:00 a.m. Friday, where several Trojans will look to secure strong early runs. Kade Homm will compete in tie-down roping, while Alaura Crockett and Dali Reser are scheduled to compete in breakaway roping. Lakoddah Downes will represent Colby in steer wrestling during the slack session.
Homm and Downes will also team up in team roping, giving the Trojans another opportunity to place in the event. In the arena events, Crockett and Mara Kats will compete in barrel racing during slack competition.
The Friday night performance at 7:30 p.m. will feature more Trojan competitors, including Brooklynn Hughes, who is entered in both goat tying and barrel racing. Emma Krase will also compete in barrel racing during the evening performance.
Saturday's schedule includes a 1:30 p.m. afternoon performance followed by another 7:30 p.m. performance later in the evening. Sadee Adamson is expected to compete in breakaway roping during one of Saturday's performances.
The rodeo will wrap up Sunday with the short go at 1:00 p.m., where the top competitors from earlier rounds will return to compete for the event titles.
As the Trojans continue their spring schedule, the team will look to build momentum and secure strong finishes against competitors from across the region.
