Rodeo Advances Two to Finals in Garden City

Colby Community College rodeo athletes Sadee Adamson and Ethan Miller qualified for the short round at the Garden City Community College Rodeo, held April 6-8.

Adamson posted a time of 2.4 seconds in the breakaway roping long round, tying for ninth through 16th place to secure a spot in the short round. Miller, competing in team roping with Quirt Carroll of Oklahoma State University, recorded a time of 8.7 seconds in the long round to tie for sixth through eighth.

"The short round did not go as we would have liked," said Coach LeRoy Hays. "But the team as a whole is making good strides for CCC this semester."

The team continues competition on April 10 in Weatherford, Okla., at the Southwest Oklahoma State University rodeo.
