Bio
Emma Eldridge was named Head Livestock Judging Coach at Colby Community College in August 2025. A CCC alumna, she returns to Colby with a strong background in livestock evaluation, animal science, and student mentorship.
Eldridge, a native of Idaho, began her judging career at Colby Community College, where she competed on the Trojan Livestock Judging Team from 2021 to 2023. In addition to her success in the judging arena, she was deeply involved in campus life, serving as the Animal Science Barn Manager and assisting with the annual bull sale, classroom labs, and veterinary technology courses. She also volunteered as a teaching assistant, helped organize judging clinics, and played an active role in the CCC Spring Classic livestock show.
After graduating from Colby with associate degrees in arts and science, Eldridge transferred to Oklahoma State University, where she was part of the Reserve National Champion Livestock Judging Team in 2024. She is completing her bachelor’s degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Animal Science in December 2025. Beyond the classroom, she gained hands-on livestock management experience with Black Label Cattle Company (Oklahoma) and Colyer Herefords and Angus (Idaho).
Eldridge says her first year leading the program will focus on laying a strong foundation for long-term success. “We’ll find success through hard work and dedication,” she said. “Things may change, but we are always working toward the same goals: building strong minds in the classroom and finding success in competition.”
As head coach, Eldridge oversees the day-to-day operations of the livestock judging program, recruits and mentors student-judges, and represents Colby Community College at competitions nationwide.
