Trojans Wrap Up Fall Season at NAILE Livestock Judging Contest
The Colby Community College Livestock Judging team closed out its fall slate at one of the nation’s premier events, the NAILE Junior College Livestock Judging Contest in Louisville, Kentucky.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Colby Community College Livestock Judging team wrapped up its fall slate on one of the biggest stages in the country at the NAILE Junior College Livestock Judging Contest in Louisville, KY. Facing a deep and highly competitive field, the Trojans turned in several quality marks across all species and reasons divisions.
Jessica Jahay paced the team landing strong finishes in Sheep, Sheep Reasons, and Overall. Landon Barnes posted standout placings in Performance Beef and Swine, highlighted by a top-30 cut in Market Swine. Sidney Fox continued her steady run through the fall, turning in competitive scores in Beef, Breeding Sheep, and Swine. Maranda Mason rounded out the Trojan roster with noticeable jumps in several divisions, particularly in Performance Beef and Sheep, showcasing her continued growth and improved evaluation and terminology throughout the season.
The NAILE concludes Colby's fall judging campaign. The Trojans will regroup and return to the ring next semester, entering the spring circuit with valuable reps, stronger reasons, and experience gained from one of the most challenging contests in the nation.
