Bio

Kirsten Miessler was named as the Head Coach of the Colby Community College Equestrian program in the summer of 2025. A passionate educator and accomplished horsewoman, Miessler brings a strong background in horsemanship, leadership, and student engagement to the Trojan Athletics staff.

A proud alumna of Colby Community College, Miessler earned both an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education (2023) and an Associate of Science in Agriculture Education (2024). As a student-athlete, she captained the CCC IHSA team and earned multiple qualifications to the IHSA Semi Finals from 2022 to 2024. Among her notable accomplishments is a Top 5 national finish in Horsemanship at the 2023 IHSA Nationals.

In addition to her competitive background, Miessler is a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) certified instructor and has extensive experience working with youth through roles at the Thomas County Extension Office and as a substitute teacher for Colby Public Schools. Her experience in event coordination, education, and horsemanship uniquely equips her to lead and grow the college’s equestrian program.

As Head Coach, she oversees all aspects of the program, including rider development, horse care, event planning, and recruitment. Miessler will continue to build a nationally competitive program rooted in hard work and student development.
