Colby Community College is seeking applicants for a full-time Custodian position to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors across campus.
The Custodian position is responsible for a variety of custodial and minor maintenance duties throughout campus facilities, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, sanitizing facilities, removing trash and recycling, dusting surfaces, setting up rooms for campus events and activities, and assisting with campus moves and other facility-related needs. The position also works closely with campus personnel to identify maintenance concerns and ensure facilities remain safe and well maintained.
This is a flexible hiring position with potential schedules including morning, day, or evening shifts depending on departmental needs. The salary range for the position is $16.75 to $17.75 per hour based on experience. Employees are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, KPERS retirement benefits, and a $2,000 relocation allowance.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED along with experience performing custodial or janitorial duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities.
