Seven Trojans scored in double figures as the Colby Community College women's basketball team kicked off the regular season schedule with a 108-53 win over the Sterling Junior Varsity team Saturday afternoon at the Community Building.

A tight Colby defense held the Warriors to a 14 for 56 (25%) shooting performance from the field while forcing 33 turnovers. Offensively, the Trojans made 46 of their 93 attempts (49.5%).

Colby's Kiara Knight led all scorers with 20 points. Imari Grayson had a balanced line with 10 points, nine steals, eight assists and seven rebounds.

Next up for the Trojans is the Garden City Classic on Friday with a 4 p.m. start against Otero Junior College. Saturday's contest with Trinidad State begins at 2 p.m.
